Welcome to Daphne

Description to follow will allow you to take a driving tour through the Eastern Shore. Please remember this is a partial list but we want to share our natural beauty with you.

The Jubilee City” was established in 1874 and incorporated in 1927. Daphne is a community rich with heritage, spirit, and small town ambiance. There are wonderful schools both public and private, great shopping areas, and lovely parks. Located on the upper end of the Eastern Shore, Daphne is very centralized to Mobile, Spanish Fort & Fairhope which makes it such an appealing place to live. The climate on the Eastern Shore allows for most outdoor sports, and activities year round. Daphne has a variety of areas both public and private to enjoy them.

The residential neighborhoods vary from small and quaint to large and loaded with amenities. Lake Forest and Timbercreek are two very large residential neighborhoods, which are built around golf courses and include tennis courts and community pools. These two neighborhoods provide homes to over half of Daphne‘s population.

Every summer, Daphne looks forward to the rare phenomenon known as a “Jubilee” which can happen only when the conditions are just right. The oxygen in the water gets so low that the sea life rise to the surface. Then it’s easy pick’ns for dinner if you are at the right place at the right time.

Tremendous growth has occurred to this city. It is convenient to Mobile and has housing in all price ranges.
