Welcome to Montrose

Description to follow will allow you to take a driving tour through the Eastern Shore. Please remember this is a partial list but we want to share our natural beauty with you.

Located between Fairhope and Daphne, unincorporated Montrose (French for Rose Hill) exudes an air of settled, understated grace among the manicured manors of the mid-19th century. Some of those manors are still located on the bluff overlooking Mobile Bay. The Ecor Rouge, or red bluffs, are well-known and can clearly be seen by sea and by air.

This historical area has many breathtaking waterfront homes as well as small residential areas that are just as spectacular in their simplicity. The oak trees that hang over Scenic Hwy 98 and the colorful azaleas running along the coastline both give a beautiful view of the southern charm this little community has to offer.

This little community is located between Daphne and Fairhope. The center of town is the Post Office. All the streets are lined with magnificent southern oak trees.
